Four years later, still volunteering at Shepherds
During the first years of the pandemic, I suffered from loneliness and anxiety. I began volunteering at the Shepherds of Good Hope serving dinners on Saturday nights at their community kitchen in Lowertown.
Everyone worked our shifts fully masked and gowned. We handed out food to clients on cold winter nights. It restored my spirits and my health. Four years later, I am still serving dinner on Saturday night at Shepherds.
