The Hill Times: Lessons Learned in Ukraine

In the November 12 edition of the Hill Times, Isabel Metcalfe described the lessons learned as an election observer in Ukraine. She oversaw the work of the twenty-two Ukrainian women who ran the poll and tallied the votes where she was stationed.

“We need to help bring more hope to the regular citizens so they can step forward and build their society through civil engagement and through supporting an enhanced voluntary community,” she writes.

She called on Canada to support the leaders in the community, including many women, who can build their nation and move it forward.
